Stillness in Motion:

Weaving together contemplative and energy-healing practices.

A retreat facilitated by Kimiko Karpoff and Leslie Sandra Black.

A one-day experience of weaving together practices from two spiritual traditions for personal and collective resilience and transformation.

Stillness in motion is the capacity to find a place of calm from which to act, essential in this time of global unravelling. This day will be both a retreat and a workshop; learn and be nourished.

In this gathering, you will receive tools and resources from the contemplative and energy-healing worlds to strengthen us to radiate love, justice and peace for ourselves, our families, communities, and the world. These traditions are often held separately, yet together weave a powerful tapestry.

This will be experiential: exploring attention and intention, deepening our awareness of our spiritual embodiment, releasing stress, coming into heart presence, and nervous system resiliency.

Dress comfortably, in layers. Snacks will be provided. Bring a lunch or grab lunch in the neighbourhood. Please let us know of any severe allergies.

Cost: An $85 to $125 sliding scale in fee, as you so choose to pay-from-the-heart.

Retreat Facilitators:

Kimiko Karpoff creates spaces for work that is spiritual and transformational. She is a writer, photographer, Energy Worker and diaconal minister in the United Church of Canada, with a background in communications and community ministry. She founded Good Vibrations: the Energy of Resilience, bringing tools from the worlds of energy healing, contemplative practice and circle work to diverse communities. As an Energy Worker, she carries the lineage of Samurai Seiki healers and has studied several modalities including in the traditions of Healing Pathways and Quantum Touch. Leslie Sandra Black, a long-time member of The Contemplative Society, is a Life Transformed Certified Coach. For over 30 years she has been an Energy Healer, certified in several modalities, and is delighted to transmit embodied, heart-centered energy to facilitate people in awakening to their own True Self. She was called as a Healer through a powerful Light of Divine Presence -- and was initiated to teach hundreds of multi-day workshops, training and mentoring other energy healers (including 4 levels of Healing Pathway).

As a Transformational Coach, Leslie creates and facilitates contemplative retreats on energetic selfcare and embodiment, drawing upon her skills training for facilitating groups and individuals (MA Applied Behavioral Sciences).

Her name, Leslie, in Old English means “joyful upliftment”, and Sandra emanates from the Greek as “protector of humanity”. She is awed to have recently discovered that her birth name revealed her life’s path!
