The purpose of this Advanced Wisdom School is to provide an introductory immersion in Gurdjieff work and Gurdjieff movements to Christian contemplative seekers, focusing on the theme: "What is my inner life?".  From this starting point, Gurdjieff's core ideas open out with powerful relevance to the Christian contemplative journey as a whole, revealing brilliant intuitions for resolutions to the classic theological and ecological impasses of our times.  When Gurdjieff's teaching is both heard and lived, understanding becomes possible.

This Advanced Wisdom School will provide an introductory immersion in Gurdjieff work and Gurdjieff movements to Christian contemplative  seekers, exploring core ideas and practices largely unfamiliar to mainstream  Christianity but with a deep affinity with mystical Christianity and a profound capacity to resolve theological logjams and  move practice to a deeper, more integrated place.

 Prerequisites include: an established contemplative  practice, attendance at an introductory Wisdom School, a reasonable physical  agility (such as one would be expected to bring to a yoga retreat), and an  emotional attitude of flexibility and openness. Admission is by application only.
