This retreat was recorded live September 25–29, 2022, at Bethlehem Retreat Centre in Nanaimo, BC, Canada, and is now offered as an online E-Course. This purchase includes over 12 hours of video recordings, divided into multiple sessions across the four-day retreat (2–8 recordings per day). In this Wisdom School retreat, Cynthia Bourgeault and Heather Ruce invite participants into a deep immersion in the transformative spiritual force of trust. Rather than being something earned through proof or reliability, trust is revealed as an innate, energetic substance flowing from the heart of God—a wellspring of divine strength that lives within each human soul. Anchored in this strength rather than in gullibility, this kind of trust becomes a force for courage, healing, and reconnection within a fragmented world. Drawing on the teachings of the Christian mystics and the esoteric framework of G.I. Gurdjieff, Cynthia guides participants through the spiritual cosmology of the “Worlds,” exploring how grace continually flows into our lives and how conscious attention and sensation allow us to receive and embody that grace. Through her teaching, we come to see that trust is not passive belief but active participation in the unfolding of divine life. Cynthia Bourgeault, PhD, is a modern-day mystic, Episcopal priest, and internationally recognized retreat leader. She is the author of numerous books, including Centering Prayer and Inner Awakening, The Wisdom Jesus, and The Holy Trinity and the Law of Three. Heather Ruce, M.A., is a Wisdom spiritual director who companions individuals and facilitates practice circles, retreats, and Wisdom Schools in the Christian Wisdom tradition. She offers guidance in Centering Prayer, sacred chant, lectio divina, conscious work, and embodiment practices.
