Retreat overview The Sacred Feminine in a Fractured World is an online contemplative retreat exploring the Sacred Feminine as a divine, life-giving presence beyond gender. The retreat considers how qualities such as compassion, receptivity, interconnectedness and nurturing may help address personal and collective experiences of division, violence and ecological destruction. The program includes reflections on the Sacred Feminine throughout history, Mary of Nazareth and Christ consciousness, Hildegard of Bingen, and the relevance of the Sacred Feminine in contemporary life. Participants will also have time for meditation, questions, discussion and personal reflection. About Cynthia Overweg Cynthia Overweg has facilitated retreats and educational programs for more than 25 years. Her work draws on Christianity, Buddhism, Sufism, Hinduism, non-duality and the teachings of mystics and spiritual teachers including G. I. Gurdjieff and J. Krishnamurti. She has developed contemplative programs on figures such as Hildegard of Bingen, Teresa of Avila, Julian of Norwich, Mary of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene, as well as visionary women from Eastern traditions.
