In this retreat recording, Matthew Wright explores how Jesus’ essential message was lost and is now re-emerging. That message is humankind’s calling to follow a transformative path toward amorization (turning into love) and unity. Our calling is to bridge the divine and physical realities – the infinite and the finite, the eternal and the now. The transformative path is described as an inward and outward journey as the divine love flows into our open hearts and manifests in our being, actions, and relationships.
Matthew draws on historic writings to demonstrate the lineage of this heart-centred Christian and mystical tradition. He then turns to more recent teachings for linking the evolving Christian path with insights into the evolution of human consciousness. He focuses in particular on the Gospel of Thomas, Raimon Panikkar, and Teilhard de Chardin.
In addition to wisdom teachings, this recording provides us with the opportunity to participate in some of the spiritual practices as they occurred during the retreat. Matthew guides us through several exercises designed to foster deepening experiences of opening the heart and being present to the divine.
