This Wisdom Practice Book Circle is for anyone who wants to cultivate a deeper connection with the Wisdom tradition which lies at the headwaters of all sacred paths—and in particular with our Christian Wisdom lineage as passed down through the teachings of Cynthia Bourgeault.
During our gatherings we focus on engaging our three centers of knowing – Intellectual Center (our minds/thoughts), Emotional Center (our emotions/feelings), & Moving Center (our bodies/sensation). We do this by grounding in Wisdom practices such as Mindful Attentional practices, Inner Tasks, Chanting, Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, or Body Prayer/Sacred Gesture, etc. This will be followed by a time of engaging in contemplative group discussions reflecting on the content of the book The Wisdom Way of Knowing by Cynthia Bourgeault. This rhythm is intended to support an integration of the material this book has to offer.
As we come together in this circle, seeking inspiration, connection with others, and practices for our awakening, we will leave with a felt sense of our deepening presence and how we can be of service in the world.
Fee: $120
