In this e-course hosted by Spirituality and Practice, Cynthia Bourgeault will explore the gifts of the Imaginal realm, in a way that can help us adopt a larger perspective and make a difference today using the cosmic assistance available to us all. She will be introducing us to the teachings in her latest book, EYE OF THE HEART: A Spiritual Journey into the Imaginal Realm, but approaching the material in a fresh and practical way.

While this course is loosely based on my book Eye of the Heart: A Spiritual Journey into the Imaginal Realm, it’s not an online book study or a Reader’s Digest version of the original. I’m very aware that we’re undertaking this work as a collective Lenten offering, and against the backdrop of a global pandemic. These two parameters will frame both my choice of topics and the way I approach them.

Rather than presenting a general overview I’ve chosen to stick with just one or two main themes (the ones most immediately relevant to our current planetary crisis.) And I’ve paved the pathway with spiritual practice—pairing each lesson with a specific practice that will help you put it into practical application—a “value-added” feature you won’t find in the book itself. You don’t have to buy the book to do this e-course, although I hope that many of you will find yourself drawn to do so, since we are barely scratching the surface here.

The e-course will begin the Thursday after Ash Wednesday, February 18, and conclude on Maundy Thursday, April 1. Format includes 13 email essays by Cynthia Bourgeault including suggested practices and questions for your conscious reflection. Participants will have access to an online practice circle, and two scheduled live sessions where Cynthia will address student’s questions.
