Contemplative Outreach Boston hosts Cynthia Bourgeault for a day of reflection, opening new ground with The Cloud of Unknowing by proposing that what its anonymous author is actually describing by the word “contemplation” is the transition to unitive or nondual consciousness. She will lead a brief discussion of what this activity entails, how this new perspective helps to clear up some of the notoriously difficult passages in The Cloud of Unknowing, and why Centering Prayer is so essential in the process.

She will also discuss her new book The Heart of Centering Prayer: Nondual Christianity in Theory and Practice.
