In Person: The Secret Embrace Silent retreat with Cynthia Bourgeault
This will be a silent Centering Prayer immersion retreat, most suitable to those with an established Centering Prayer practice and prior familiarity with Thomas Keating’s teachings on The Human Condition and The Divine Therapy. Experienced practitioners on other meditational paths are also warmly invited to join this deep dive into Thomas Keating’s final teachings on unity consciousness and nondual awakening. This retreat will feature three daily periods of meditation, morning and afternoon teaching by Cynthia Bourgeault based on an in-depth exploration of Father Thomas’s final work The Secret Embrace, and daily time for group reflection and synthesis. We will be particularly alert to the prophetic and collective implications of this unitive awakening for our own shattered times. Location: Garrison Institute, Garrison NY

The Infinite Within - Online Conference - Center for Christogenesis
Cynthia Bourgeault will join other notable speakers for the third annual conference of the newly renamed “Center for Christogensis” Full details and registration can be found HERE Overview: We are prodigal children of an infinite love. The mounting crises of our time show that we are exhausting our capacity to center our lives in the radiating power of God. We are called to be more. We have the capacity for a new world, and the energy for this world is already within us; it is the presence of God-Omega. We need to discover the vast inner layers of the human person, not merely to comfort ourselves in mystical depths, but to radiate out with the love from which we are made—to heal our world, save our planet, and bring justice to all. Join this third annual online conference, as we seek to meet the infinite within and explore these depths together toward the future of our world and our God. Ground Luminosity Retreat with Cynthia Bourgeault
This silent, Centering Prayer-based retreat will prepare practitioners enter more deeply into the Christian season of Advent, that mysterious liturgical “thin place” where light and darkness, birth and death, heaven and earth, apocalyptic rumblings and tender new birth all draw very close together. The mystically attuned heart can approach this cosmic wellspring—or wormhole— and begin to read here “the signs of the times,” drawing from it both the strength and lucidity to live courageously in a world apparently adrift. The purpose of this retreat will be to attune our hearts, both individually and collectively. Grounded in the rhythm of the classic Centering Prayer immersion retreat, our time together will include three daily periods of formal meditation, sacred chanting and body prayer, and teaching by Cynthia Bourgeault drawing particularly on Thomas Merton and Rumi, whose respective deaths (on December 10 and December 17) bookend this week and. anchor us in the cosmic heart from which all else flows.
