Membership & Support Information
We rely upon the financial contributions and membership of fellow contemplatives
to support the work of Rev. Dr. Cynthia Bourgeault
and to maintain our presence and services.
The Contemplative Society is a charitable, non-profit organization funded largely through donations and membership. As a member you receive the following benefits: advance email notice of events and news – particularly the opportunity to register for retreats sponsored by TCS prior to public announcement; letters and notifications to members from our principal teacher Rev. Dr. Cynthia Bourgeault, TCS newsletters; and voting rights at our Annual General Meeting.
Your donation and membership allows us to provide continued financial support to Cynthia in her work around the world as a spiritual teacher, writer, and a leader in the recovery of the Christian Contemplative Tradition. Your vital contribution and support also enables us to maintain our presence as a source and service for connecting the global network of contemplatives learning and growing together on this path.
What I personally receive from my membership in TCS is a sense of relief and gratitude that I no longer need to be a "seeker" but can now deepen my faith in a teaching and tradition that speaks to my heart (and mind) and provides an opportunity to share my experience and practice in community of like-minded souls. I appreciate and learn from teachers from many traditions and organizations, but above all I consider Cynthia as my primary teacher and she specifically provides a vision that seems most "true" for me. And she does this not only as a very learned, articulate, and wise scholar, but also with the charm and realness of a woman who is willing to honestly share her humanity and life experiences - and in fact demonstrates how to live in this world taking each experience and relationship as a potential means for personal transformation. Simply put, TCS provides a means for me to stay connected to Cynthia's teaching and a way to participate in the recovery of the Christian contemplative and Wisdom traditions. - TCS Member

- The Contemplative Society is a Canadian registered charitable organization. A tax receipt will be issued and mailed to you at the end of each calendar year.
