Cynthia Bourgeault hosts this first-time Quaker Wisdom School at Pendle Hill, open to Quakers and Wisdom Seekers of all faiths. Teaming up with Marcelle Martin (Quaker retreat leader and teacher) and Paulette Meier (singer/songwriter), they will attempt to more deeply weave these threads of the Christian contemplative tradition. The Benedictine pattern of ora et labora (prayer and work) will be complemented by the Quaker traditions of silent worship, voluntary simplicity, and attunement toward the Light within.
